nice quote — where’d it come from?
some bsd article on slashdot. should still be in the archives.
i read that article. it was a damn informative read. anybody got a copy of freebsd i can play with?
yeah kev i got a copy of freebsd 4.6
and i believe i still have an iso of 4.5 around on my hard drive.
4.6.2 i the latest in -stable. get the mini iso, it’s only about 150 megs and has a fully working system with no services but ssh running out of the box. just the way i like it.
i’m definitely quite pleased w/ freebsd.
i’d be more inclined to get the full iso since i have no bandwidth at home.
perhaps i should wait:
“the next scheduled release on the -stable branch will be freebsd 4.7 on october 1, 2002.”
