i made my first satellite ham radio contact today… 🙂
standing in the back yard with a directional antenna in one hand and a low-power radio in the other, i managed to talk to someone via a satellite (lovingly called ao-27) 500 miles in the sky.
unfortunately, i had nothing to write with, so i have no clue who it was. i asked them to qsl though, so hopefully they do. in the future i’ll use an mp3 recorder so that i can review my contact(s) later.
