Daryl E. Roston

Daryl E. “Whitey” Roston, 71, of 702 N. Thoman St., Crestline, died Monday at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield.
He was born in Galion to Alfred L. and Elsie I. (Walker) Roston. He is survived by his wife, Norma J. (Lamb) Roston, whom he married Aug. 31, 1950. Other survivors include two sons, two daughters-in-law, two daughters and one son-in-law; Vicki C. Whitted of Port Clinton, Dr. Daryl Alan (Chip) and Teresa Roston of Gurnee, Ill., Cynthia Sue and Mike Conroy of Oak Harbor, Stephen and Karen Roston of Shawnee, Kansas; four grandchildren Matthew, Stacy, Trevor and Christian; brothers Russell Roston of Galion and Dr. William Roston of Forsythe, Mo.; sisters Alfreda Wells of Bolivar, Mo., Virginia Stoddard of Redwood City, Calif. and Esther Dahlgren of Longwood, Fla.
Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth, Wayne and Floyd Roston and sister Barbara Roston.
He lived in North Central Ohio most of his life and was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mansfield. He owned and operated SM Data Center in Ashland. Daryl loved to golf, race Standard Bred horses, gardening and snow skiing. He was a great bridge player and loved to travel.
