anyone else seen microsoft’s whining about Apple’s iTunes and iPod being closed and thus limiting consumer’s playback options to Apple music?
I say offer a DRM model that lets me burn unlimited cds, works with the most popular personal music player, and doesn’t have a subscription fee and maybe I’ll considered it…

ok kazaa, and i mesh work on windows, winamp laets me play unlimited mp3’s, and nero can burn cd’s as fast as my burner can crank them out
you can tell iTunes to burn an mp3 cd and get the mp3 that way

Well, I just burned 2 CDs with iTunes this morning. And I’m not impressed with iTunes as much anymore. It was a pain in the butt trying to get my burner to work. I had the latest everything and iTunes showed it as supported but it kept failing the burn just as it would try to write the first track. 3 coasters later and adding a space in a config file (stupid Apple), I can now successfully burn things.
