this place is pretty amazing. i don’t really want to go home! amid reports that it is about zero degrees in ohio, i’m sorry to say that i was in summer clothes yesterday, riding around in a convertible in about 70 degree weather. if i do absolutely nothing else this entire trip, i don’t care, it’s warm.
the trip out was uneventful. we arrived nearly three hours early at the airport. it took longer to find our way around dtw than it did to make it through security. no one laid a hand on me, i didn’t have to take anything off, etc. it was just like every other time i’ve been through security.
kristy was correct – there is wireless in the terminal! unfortunately it costs 6.95, and by time i pulled out the laptop it was only about 30 minutes before boarding. 6.95 for 30 minutes was not something i could justify.
haven’t done much out here yet. i am still on ohio time, so i passed out at about 9pm last night, but was up by 6:30. i guess we are going to the zoo today, and i hope to get a bit of warm weather geocaching in.
i must say i already miss the cold, snowy winter weather of ohio. ha! right…
what few pics i have so far are in the gallery, but nothing of much excitement. i tried to take some pics of the san diego coastline from coronado last night, but they didn’t turn out. i think my new cheap-o digital camera kind of sucks.
