didn’t take much to turn it around. i never understood why a guy who tries to do good by all, never cheats or lies his way through life, and cares for and would do anything for those close to him, ends up getting the short end of the stick.

well, matt, I’ve often asked myself the same question. I’ve had tons of advice, none of which thoroughly helped. Are you really on the short end of the stick though? You have a job (that when I last talked to you, you enjoyed), a roof over your head, and some cool toys to play with.
I have the feeling I know what you’re really getting at, though. We need to talk again sometime soon. It’s been too long. I think I shall have to ring you up one of these evenings.
