yes, i am starting to plan movie night — the day before it happens. anyone who has ever been to the barn, which doubles as coastal wave headquarters, knows that there is shit everywhere. stuff in the yard is being moved around to make room for people, projector, speakers, etc. the side of the barn i chose has windows, so i have a bit of engineering to do.
the one thing i’m lacking — decent sound. i have a great amp, but shitty old guitar monitors for speakers. a friend of a friend has a nice peavey dj setup he’d rent me for $40, but i’m trying to keep this cheap… i’m too po’ to make this excursion anything but ghetto.
the surprise movie was chosen officially last night. i had six options — three that i rented and three that i owned. i won’t even way which of those two groups the choice is in.
it’s shaping out to be quite a little event. the projector is not arriving until right before the event starts. wish i had a backup…
