nature is paying me back for enjoying 85 degree sunny weather in florida. on the flight home, i started to feel a bit of soreness in my throat. over the past few days, this has developed into quite the misery. i’m a cough making, snot producing, limited mobility machine at the moment. i’m having difficulty staying focused on any task here at work, and i’m sounding like a damn fool to those i converse with on the phone. i went home early yesterday, and i’m thinking i might have to do the same today.
now on to the randomness…
* i received a collections notice from mci. apparently i never paid off an account i had with them in 2002. yes, two thousand and two. i was apparently mistaken in thinking that i was paid up on everything. they apparently just threw it onto my credit report… so much for my “almost back to decent” credit score. i had no freaking clue.
* a non-privileged account on silentbob was compromised. some script kiddie threw an irc bot on there. fixed now, and silentbob has all of his most recent patches now. hydra, the site i host my personal sites (matt.sh, podsix.org, etc) on is next in line… when i have a few spare moments, that is.
