end of day one, got the place pretty much cleaned up, and the stereo moved over there for tunes. i think it’s going to be a nice little place to live. met the two people that live across the hall for me – two arabian fellows who apparently are both professors at ut. i’m not sure if one or both of them live there. they didn’t have much to say other than ‘hi, nice to meet you’
i also have a storage area in the basement that is currently occupied by tons of crap left by the previous tenant. the complex assures me they will get it out this weekend.
all in all, things are going well.
project for tomorrow – attempt to clean my microwave in hopes that i can salvage it. i spent about $150 on cleaning supplies, a new cat box and bowl, shower curtain, etc etc. all stuff i financed in my current house and won’t see returned. long story short, i have switched to money concervation mode.
