well, i received a response to a personal ad that actually sounded semi-intelligent. here’s the subject line:
wow…an original in that horrible sea of conformity.
i hate those types of ‘hi you sound cool drop me a line sometime’ type of one-line responses that i seem to attract.
and, i’d now like to take this opportunity to rub it in that i have a cable modem, and it’s damn fast. i downloaded the mandrake 7.1 distro yesterday at about 104kb a second. since i can’t capitalize the ‘b’, i’ll tell you that that’s bytes, not bits. at my old apartment, on the same cable modem service, i never got downloads that high.
