i received another update from chip’s father today. chip is making incredible progress. he took a shower on his own, and is writing back and forth. he is also starting to speak, and asked if he can be driven home.
unfortunately, chip is deaf. from the way the e-mail was worded, it seems permanent.
i’m so glad my friend is making such a speedy recovery. i hope to see him sometime soon.
