nslookup tells me that buckeye’s dns servers are not responding to anything at all. thus, i can only load things by ip or things whose names are cached. xe must be like win2k and cache dns data.
i just thought of something. big sites like yahoo could be evil and set their ttl to like 1 second. the internet would probably come to a screaching halt because of the dns traffic.
i dont think its you…ie 5.0+ has “forgoten” how to goto some websites. usually a refresh will fix it fine.
then again dns problems dont really bug me…drudge does most of the caching i need
it was a buckeye problem. nslookup from my linux box proved it. a few hours later i tried again and all was well.
heres a great idea.. keep some extra dns servers in your resolve file.
here’s a great idea. blow me.
well, when you’re done yelling at each other, rejoice! this was entry 500!
d’oh!!!! and i wanted to do something special for 500. maybe i’ll delete the past two, heh…
