so i haven’t said much about my weekend. here we go.
friday night, picked up my new laptop. well, my new used laptop. p2/400, 14.1″ active (might be bigger actually), thinner and lighter than my hp, 128 meg, 10 gig, dvd-rom, built-in 56k modem (which will rarely be used). it’s a compaq armada. i like it. put redhat 7.2 and xp professional on it. i want to pick up some more ram and a bigger drive for it eventually.
also, friday night, i hung out with travis. talked about whatever, drank rum and coke, and had a merry ‘ole time. oh yeah, and utilized his “software collection” to load up my new laptop.
saturday didn’t go as planned. nivex told me there was a party for the slug, but failed to tell me it was in the day, so i assumed it was night. as such, my sat night plans went poof! that’s ok, dickey called and had as little going on as i did. so, we watched ‘the big lebowski’, which i proudly own, and of course enjoyed a bit of ye olde miller light. not a big fan, but i wasn’t paying!
sunday was cousin day. my cousin erin from california is in crestline visiting her grandparents. i spent most of the afternoon hanging out with her. a few pics can be found under family. the two of us visited someone i hadn’t seen in probably about five years. her name is crystal, and i used to hang out with her when i would visit my grandparents and get bored. it’s amazing how much and how little 5 years will change a person.
