i forgot to write about my atm mishap…
a few night ago, around 1am, i became hungry. so i decide to go through the huntington westgate parking lot atm and get some taco hell money. put my card in, punch in my pin, and the screen goes blank. i sit there waiting. about a minute later the thing starts to reboot. (interesting note, the thing runs ibm os/2.) i wait and wait and wait, hoping the thing would spit my card back out. once it booted up, it said that the atm is out of service. the card never came out.
so i call the bank the next day. they said they don’t have access to the atm in the parking lot, and brinks will destroy the card when they receive it. so my card is forever lost. the only thing i could do is cancel the card and have a new card / number reissued. i’m lost without my check card! and i have a few things that auto debt from that card. i’ve had the number memorized for years. it’s very saddening. now i have to wait for about 2 weeks. at least i was able to get a temporary atm card.
stupid atm. never use the parking lot atm at westgate! go up to the one at the bank!
we’ve used that lot one once… but lately, we’ve been going in to the bank to make deposits…
that sucks.
reminds me of the first time i tried to use my atm card. disastrous results, i tell you.
i’ve used it a few times. it think you got lucky with that .00001% chance of catistrophic failure

uhh, i dunno. when i told the lady at the bank the one in the parking lot ate my card, her response was “doesn’t surprise me”.
at least if the one at the bank eats my card, they can return it.
i’ve used the parking lot one at least 500 times in the past, probably more.
